Purpose

This Refund Policy outlines how Restoring Resilience ("the Company," “the Organiser”, "we," "us," or "our”) issues refunds for participants enrolled in Somatic Experiencing® International Training or the Restoring Resilience GROW Program. It ensures transparency, fairness and consistency in managing financial transactions related to training participation.

Scope

This policy applies to all participants enrolled in Somatic Experiencing® International Training

General Principles

  • Refunds are issued at the discretion of the Organiser and in accordance with this policy.
  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to:
    • info@restoringresilience.com.au
    • setrainingscoordinator@restoringresilience.com.au
  • Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed.
  1. Participant-Initiated Withdrawal

If a participant chooses to withdraw from a training module:

Timing of Withdrawal Refund Eligibility
More than 30 days before module start Full refund minus deposit fee (if applicable)
    • Deposit fee (if applicable) is non-refundable.
    • No refunds will be provided for non-attendance or partial attendance.
    • No refunds will be issued after the final payment deadline or after full payment has been received.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the commencement of training.
  • If you withdraw from the training at any time after commencement, no refund will be provided.

 

  1. Organiser-Initiated Withdrawal

If the Organiser or Company requests that a participant withdraw from the Training:

  • The participant agrees to leave the Training immediately.
  • Refunds will be issued in accordance with the Organiser’s discretion and may consider the nature of the withdrawal, timing and participant conduct.
  • No refund will be issued in cases of serious misconduct or breach of the Code of Conduct.
  1. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered outside standard timeframes in cases of:

  • Medical emergencies (with documentation)
  • Bereavement or family crisis
  • Other unforeseen events deemed valid by the Organiser

Requests must be submitted with supporting documentation and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  1. Cancelled

If a training module is cancelled by the Organiser:

  • Participants may choose to receive a full refund or transfer their registration to a future module.
  • No administrative fees will be charged in these cases.
  1. Rescheduled Modules

If a training module is rescheduled by the Organiser:

  • In the event of a training reschedule, please refer to our Terms and Conditions here.
  1. Non-Reimbursable Expenses
  • Travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses incurred by the participant
  1. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of confirmation. Participants will receive written notification once the refund has been issued.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued participation in the Training after any modifications will constitute your acceptance of the new terms.
