Restoring Resilience deeply appreciates your application to assist at the upcoming SE Professional Trainings in Melbourne, Sydney, and/or Brisbane. Restoring Resilience is committed to developing assisting application protocols and processes that are transparent, fair, ethical, and accountable.

In regard to the selection process for the allocation of assisting teams, the application process will be governed by a panel of individuals to ensure that no one person has the power to advance or restrict Assistant applications. All SEI-approved applications will be filed into the Restoring Resilience database, which will be made available to the panel to decide on teams.

The governing panel will consist of five individuals comprising the SE Trainer for that training, the Lead Assistant chosen by the Trainer, Restoring Resilience SE Trainings Coordinator, Lucy Gigliuto, and co-founders of Restoring Resilience, Anna Skolarikis and Phyllis Traficante. This will ensure that no one person has the power to advance or decline any Assistant’s application and that all decision-making regarding Assistant team allocations is fair, ethical, and transparent.

Restoring Resilience does not take any responsibility for Assistant applications to progress through various provider levels and must be made directly with SEI. Please refer to: https://traumahealing.org/assistant-and-provider-programs/

Please note, at an SE Professional training, Assistants are required to have a sophisticated skill set where they can facilitate learning within collective group settings. A large component of SE Professional training requires Assistants to hold small group triads that translate the theory into experiential learning.

Assistants allocated to a training will be invited to attend professional development trainings with Restoring Resilience. This will provide an opportunity for teams to share skills on how to support and hold safe spaces for student learning. The trainings aim to provide psycho-education and empower Assistants to work in collaborative relational spaces that foster safety, learning, creativity, and growth.

Please note all Assistant applications must have an SEI letter of approval along with faculty recommendations.
