In May 2026, Dr Peter Levine came to Australia for four unforgettable days with our Somatic Experiencing® community.
Peter's visit was more than a professional training. It was the rare experience of sitting together, in community, with the founder of Somatic Experiencing - encountering not only the depth of his life's work, but the humanity, curiosity and mystery from which it continues to emerge.
Together, we entered the liminal spaces between sleeping and waking, body and psyche, science and spirituality, the conscious and unconscious, and the life already lived and the life still seeking to become.
Where Science Meets Mystery
For more than fifty years, Dr Peter A. Levine has transformed the way trauma is understood through Somatic Experiencing®, his pioneering approach grounded in physiology, memory and the innate intelligence of the body.
Yet Peter's work has never been confined to what science alone can explain. He moves between biology and imagination, sensation and symbol, personal experience and collective meaning - listening for the ways the unconscious speaks through dreams, images, gestures, archetypes and the living body.
This masterclass brings these worlds together. It is not simply about interpreting dreams. It is about bringing them to life and discovering what may be understood, reorganised and transformed when imagination meets embodied awareness.

We arrived as strangers in a strange land, entering territories that felt both unfamiliar and deeply remembered.
Through dreams, sensation, image, movement and the shared field between us, we found ways of knowing and communicating beyond ordinary language. Something ancient seemed to speak - connecting the personal with the collective, the present with those who came before us, and the conscious mind with the deeper intelligence of the unconscious.
Peter was our guide through this strange and beautiful landscape, inviting us to remain curious in the unknown and receptive to what was seeking form.

The Power of Sitting in Community
The teaching did not move through Peter's words alone. It lived in the silences, the laughter, the dreams that were shared and the movements that arose. The community itself became part of the teaching - each person's presence contributing to a field that was intimate, spacious and alive.
There was profound beauty in being together: learning, dreaming and entering places of depth rarely available in ordinary life.
A Dream of Being Together
As the four days came to an end, enormous grief moved through the room. It felt like being woken from a dream - a dream of being together and communicating in ways that felt ancestral, spiritual, intimate and deeply understood.
The grief was inseparable from the beauty. It revealed how profoundly we had been touched and how precious the world we had created together had become.
